An Update on Bo!
Beatriz’s grandson Bo is the youngest of her thirteen grandchildren and is the inspiration for our adoption of Autism Awareness as our company’s cause. Diagnosed at the age of three, Bo lives in New Orleans with his parents, Kristine and Jose, Beatriz's son and daughter-in-law. Bo is the youngest of five children, and he brings so much joy and wonder to his family.
“Bo is now seven and started Kindergarten this year at a wonderful charter school in New Orleans,” says his mom, Kristine. “He spends part of his day in the regular K room and the other with his awesome Special Education teacher.”
Kristine reports that Bo was thriving at school and making great progress up until March 13th when all schools in Louisiana were closed for the foreseeable future.
“Regression for kiddos like Bo can happen very quickly when they are out of a regular routine and not receiving their regular therapies,” says Kristine. “But like all other special needs families, we are making the best of our new normal. Lots of time is spent in the backyard on the swings and trampoline.”
“As always, we are so proud of Bo and the progress he works so hard to make every day and we are so very thankful for the people who dedicate their lives to teaching and caring for children like Bo,” says Kristine.
Please join Beatriz Ball, Bo, and his family in our support of Autism Awareness.
