WOOD Rectangle with Brasilia Spreader Cutting Board

National PB & J Day Sandwich

At Beatriz Ball, this is how we do Peanut Butter & Jelly Day! 😁 Gourmet with lots of gooey goodness to enjoy for your lunch snack. Fire up your grill and get ready to spoil your taste buds!

What you’ll need:

  • 4 slices of bread - we used a fresh, round loaf of whole grain bread
  • 1-2 tablespoons of your favorite jam (we used raspberry)
  • 1-2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • a couple of splashes of heavy cream or milk
  • pinch of salt
  • butter for the pan
  • powdered sugar for dusting

How to make it:

  1. Lay the pieces of bread flat on a work surface. Spread two pieces of bread with jelly and then spread the remaining two with peanut butter. Sandwich the jelly side with the peanut butter side.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs with a couple of splashes of cream or milk. Whisk in a pinch of salt.
  3. Place a skillet over medium heat and add the butter to melt. Once hot, dip both sides of each sandwich in the egg mixture, making sure the eggs are soaking into the bread. Place the sandwich in the hot skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove from your skillet and place on a serving plate like our WOOD Rectangle with Brasilia Spreader Cutting Board and dust with powdered sugar for the final touch! Enjoy while hot off the grill!
